Money Laundering

The UK Government has introduced stringent rules for many types of businesses, including bookkeeping practices, which are aimed at tackling money laundering.
Our compliance with these rules is a legal obligation, and can help protect clients from unknowingly committing criminal offences themselves.
It is the policy of Meadowhill Accounts to comply in all respects with the Money Laundering Regulations 2007 by ensuring that policies and procedures exist to aid compliance.
These include:

  • Ensuring that money laundering is addressed appropriately in all assignments that the practice performs;
  • Ensuring that commercial considerations never override the need to comply with the regulations;
  • Ensuring sufficient resources are devoted to the implementation, documentation and training necessary to ensure compliance; and
  • Ensuring that the practice appoints a suitable money laundering reporting officer (MLRO) to monitor compliance.

Meadowhill Accounts are committed to providing a web site that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our web site and our website aims to conform to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.
Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for all people, although it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the web site.

Photography

Most Bookkeeping and Accountancy websites traditonally display photos of abacuses, calculators, graphs, office interiors and business people buried under mountains of paperwork.
We have decided to do things a bit differently and show off the animal kingdom at its very best. A special thank you to Shaun Burke for providing the photos. Shaun is based in Darlington, England and is a keen amateur photographer. The photos were taken on his recent trips to Central Africa and the Galapagos Islands. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
