If I appoint a bookkeeper, will I still need an accountant?
As Certified Bookkeepers we can do your regular day-to-day bookkeeping and if required we can prepare your annual accounts in a format suitable for self assessment purposes. However, we cannot audit accounts of limited companies or limited liability partnerships. Only accountants who are Registered Auditors are permitted by Law to do this. An external audit is a regulated activity and refers to the statutory audit of the accounts for submission to Companies House.
Meadowhill Accounts is a member of the Sage Accountants' Club. What does that mean?
It means that we receive the latest versions and newest updates of Sage 50 software so we are always one step ahead of new legislation and tax changes. In addition, as a member, we have access to SageCover so software support and advice is only ever a phone call away.
Is Sage the only software that Meadowhill Accounts works with?
No, we can also use all of the main accountancy packages including QuickBooks, MYOB, VT and Moneysoft (for Payroll).
We can also fit in with a manual or Excel based bookkeeping system.
The reason we have invested in Sage software is because it is the most popular accounting software package amongst accountants.

How do I know my bookkeeper will be someone I can trust?
You may be a bit surprised to learn that you do not need any formal qualifications to call yourself a bookkeeper.
When you take into consideration that your bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining all or part of your financial records, it is important to select a Certified bookkeeper.
Meadowhill Accounts has a Practicing Certificate issued by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (Practice No. 5873)

How often will I see my bookkeeper?
Our first step will always be to work closely with you so that we gain a full understanding of your business. A package can then be provided to suit your particular needs.
We can do as little or as much of your bookkeeping as you want us to. We can do your books on-site (at your premises) or off-site (at our premises) and depending on the size of your business you might see us on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis.
Can I afford to have Meadowhill Accounts handle my books?
We believe that we offer excellent value for money and that our fees are very reasonable.
We will always strive to offer fixed price agreements, giving you reassurance that there will never be any surprise bills.
